About Fisherman's Wharf Port Aransas
Fisherman's Wharf is a long-running charter dock on Tarpon Street in the Port Aransas harbor district, sending boats into both the Gulf of Mexico and the protected bays that surround Mustang Island. It is one of the island's best-known departure points for visitors who want to fish or simply get out on the water.
The operation runs shared deep sea party-boat trips for red snapper and other Gulf species, private bay fishing charters for redfish, speckled trout and flounder, and relaxed dolphin watch cruises through the calm inland channels where the local pods feed. In winter, seasonal birding excursions give wildlife watchers a chance to see whooping cranes and other coastal species from the water.
Decades of daily departures have made the Wharf a fixture of the Port Aransas waterfront, with experienced captains who know the jetties, channels and offshore banks intimately. Bait, tackle and fish cleaning are handled dockside, so visiting anglers can show up with little more than sunscreen.
