About Neptune's Charters
Neptune's Charters runs boat tours from Woody's Sports Center on the Port Aransas waterfront, a family operation whose roots on the harbor date back to 1985. Its cruises are built around the wildlife of the Lydia Ann Channel and Corpus Christi Ship Channel rather than rod-and-reel fishing, making it a favorite with families and first-time visitors.
The signature outing is a dolphin watch and shrimp trawl tour, where the crew pulls a small trawl net and shows passengers the crabs, shrimp and other creatures that come up while wild dolphins trail the boat. Sunset cruises, jetty and lighthouse sightseeing runs, and private group charters round out the schedule, with trips sized for everything from couples to large family reunions.
Because the boats work the same protected channels every day, the crews know where the resident dolphin pods feed and how to position the boat for close, respectful viewing. Calm inshore water means trips run comfortably for young children and older passengers alike.
