About Grajales Expeditions
Grajales Expeditions is a historic Aconcagua operator with its mountain base at Los Penitentes, the small ski village on Route 7 that serves as the gateway to the park. The Grajales family has been organising logistics and guided ascents on Aconcagua for more than two decades, building one of the most extensive base-camp and mule-support networks on the mountain.
The company guides the main climbing routes — including a Rapid Ascent itinerary, the Normal Route, the Polish Traverse and the Polish Glacier Route — and runs special trekking programs for those who want to reach the base camps without summiting. For independent and experienced teams, Grajales offers logistic packages for non-guided expeditions, handling permits, mule transport, base-camp meals and tented infrastructure at Confluencia, Plaza de Mulas and Plaza Argentina.
Grajales is known for the scale and reliability of its on-mountain operation, with experienced guides, porters and camp staff supporting climbers throughout their attempt. Combined with rescue-insurance partnerships and long institutional experience in the park, it remains a go-to choice for serious Aconcagua expeditions launched from Mendoza.
