About Horseback Adventures
Horseback Adventures is a second-generation family outfitter nestled on the Eastern Slopes of the Canadian Rockies near the north boundary of Jasper National Park in Brule, Alberta. With over 45 years of guiding experience, Tom and Shawn Vinson have built a reputation for intimate, high-quality horseback experiences in truly wild backcountry terrain.
They offer hourly rides ranging from one to three hours, full-day excursions, and multi-day backcountry pack trips to their remote West Range Cabins. Wilderness tent camp adventures take small groups deep into untouched backcountry accessible only on horseback. All rides are suitable for beginners through advanced riders, with well-trained horses matched to rider experience levels.
What distinguishes Horseback Adventures from larger commercial operations is their commitment to small group sizes and authentic backcountry immersion. Their West Range Cabins provide comfortable overnight accommodation in genuine wilderness, and multi-day pack trips offer an experience reminiscent of early Rocky Mountain exploration — far from roads, crowds, and cell service.
