About Jackson Hole EcoTour Adventures
Jackson Hole EcoTour Adventures is a wildlife safari company founded by naturalist Taylor Philps in 2008. Operating as an authorised concessioner of the National Park Service, they run guided tours through Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks from their base in Jackson. The company serves roughly 10,000 visitors per year with a focus on small-group, naturalist-led experiences that connect guests to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
Tour options include half-day and full-day Grand Teton wildlife safaris, Yellowstone day trips, snowshoe-and-wildlife winter combos, cross-country ski tours, and specialised photography outings. All tours use customised four-wheel-drive safari vehicles fitted with captain's chairs, guaranteed window seats, and roof hatches for stand-up viewing. Guests look through Swarovski Optik binoculars and spotting scopes — the same glass used by professional wildlife photographers.
What sets EcoTour apart is the depth of their naturalist programme. Guides hold degrees in ecology, biology, or wildlife management, and trips are structured around seasonal wildlife patterns — from spring grizzly sightings to winter wolf tracking. The company donates 2.5 percent of all tour revenue to local conservation nonprofits, reinforcing their commitment to the landscape they operate in.
