About Navy's Waterworld
Navy's Waterworld is Santorini's only PADI 5-Star Instructor Development Centre, operating from the southern end of Kamari Beach since 2005. The dive shop and centre sit behind Varkes Restaurant, right on the beachfront, giving certified divers and complete beginners direct access to the island's extraordinary volcanic underwater landscape. Their team of multilingual PADI-certified instructors runs daily boat dives to over 40 dive sites around the caldera.
For certified divers, they offer guided boat dives to sites like the volcanic reef off Nea Kameni, underwater lava formations, dramatic drop-offs, and sheltered coves teeming with Mediterranean marine life. Beginners can take Discover Scuba Diving introductions in shallow water or enrol in full PADI Open Water certification courses. They also run dedicated snorkel safaris — boat trips to prime snorkelling spots that don't require any dive certification, making them accessible to families and non-divers.
Navy's Waterworld stands out for the quality of their instruction and equipment. As a PADI 5-Star IDC centre, they train dive professionals as well as recreational divers, which means their safety standards and teaching are a cut above. The centre stocks a full retail dive shop with gear sales and rentals, and their repeat-visit rate from travelling divers is one of the highest on the island.
