About Texas Surf Camps
Texas Surf Camps is the Coastal Bend's leading surf school, founded by Texas professional surfer Morgan Faulkner and teaching on the beach in Port Aransas as well as Corpus Christi and Galveston. For more than a decade the school has introduced Texans of all ages to the Gulf's forgiving, beginner-friendly waves.
Programs include private and group surf lessons, stand-up paddleboard instruction, and week-long summer surf camps that run June through August for kids and teens. Lessons, birthday parties and group events are available year round by appointment, and all surfboards and equipment are provided, so students only need a swimsuit and sunscreen.
Every instructor is CPR and First Aid certified, and the coaching staff's competitive surfing background shows in how quickly students progress from whitewater push-ins to riding open faces. The gentle sandbar breaks off Mustang Island make Port Aransas one of the best places in Texas to learn, and Texas Surf Camps has become the island's reference point for surf instruction.
