About Pacifica Paddle Sports
Pacifica Paddle Sports operates from 789 Saunders Lane in Brentwood Bay, on the Saanich Peninsula about twenty minutes north of downtown Victoria. The waterfront shop sits on one of the most sheltered stretches of ocean in Greater Victoria, making it a natural home base for stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking in almost any weather.
The company rents SUPs, single and double kayaks by the hour or day, launching directly from its dock into calm Brentwood Bay. Guided tours paddle into neighboring Tod Inlet, the quiet fjord-like arm below Butchart Gardens where herons, seals and jellyfish are regular sights. Lessons cover first-time SUP and kayak basics through to skills progression, and the shop also sells boards, boats and paddling gear. The season runs strongest from spring through early autumn, with tours and rentals suitable for beginners, families and experienced paddlers alike.
Pacifica's differentiator is its water: Brentwood Bay and Tod Inlet offer warm, protected, current-free paddling that is hard to find on Victoria's open coastline, and the company's dockside launch means guests are on the water seconds after their orientation. It has become the peninsula's hub for paddle sports.
