About PKT Diving
PKT Diving is a PADI Five Star Instructor Development Center on the main walking street of Tonsai Village, with more than 15 years of teaching behind it. The team of international, multilingual PADI instructors handles everything from nervous first-timers to career candidates working toward their instructor rating.
Courses span the full PADI ladder: Discover Scuba Diving, Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue, Divemaster, and the Instructor Development Course itself, which few shops on the island are rated to run. Fun divers join daily two-dive trips to the reefs around Phi Phi Leh and the Bida islands, where turtles, leopard sharks, and dense schools of snapper are regular company, with wreck trips available for certified divers.
The shop invests in its equipment, running newer-generation rental gear rather than the tired kit common in budget operations, and keeps class sizes small enough that instructors know every student's name by the second briefing. For divers who want to start on Phi Phi and finish as professionals with the same shop, the IDC rating makes PKT one of the few places on the island where that whole journey happens under one roof.
