About Reel Coquina Fishing
Reel Coquina Fishing is a private charter operation run by Captain Pablo Koch-Schick, who has guided the waters around St. Pete Beach and lower Tampa Bay since 2015. Trips depart from O'Neill's Marina on the Sunshine Skyway side of St. Petersburg, a short drive over the bridge from St. Pete Beach and directly adjacent to Tierra Verde, putting the boat minutes from both bay flats and open Gulf.
Charters split into three formats. Inshore trips work the mangroves, grass flats, and passes of Tampa Bay for snook, redfish, and spotted seatrout. Offshore trips run to reefs, wrecks, and ledges in the Gulf for grouper, snapper, and kingfish. Deep sea trips push farther out for tuna and mahi mahi, with vertical jigging and seasonal red snapper specials for anglers chasing something specific. Every trip is private, and tackle and instruction are provided, so complete beginners and technical anglers both get a trip built around their level.
The differentiator is the planning: Captain Pablo builds each outing around the forecast, tide, season, and the group's experience rather than running a fixed loop. More than 200 five-star Google reviews and coverage in Florida Sport Fishing Magazine back up a reputation as one of the most consistent light-tackle charters in the St. Pete area.
