About Similan Diving Safaris
Similan Diving Safaris is a family-owned dive company with Western and Thai management, based on Petchkasem Road in the heart of Khao Lak. The team has spent more than 25 years running boats to the Similan and Surin Islands, making it one of the longest-standing liveaboard operators on this coast.
Liveaboard safaris are the specialty, with itineraries from quick two-night tasters to longer expeditions that cover the full circuit of Similan reefs plus Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, and Richelieu Rock in the Surin National Marine Park. PADI courses from Open Water through Advanced can be completed on board, so students log their training dives on some of Thailand's best sites instead of a local reef. Nitrox, rental equipment, and private guiding are all available.
The house style is relaxed and personal rather than big-boat conveyor belt. Guests are collected from Khao Lak hotels, briefed by guides who have dived these sites for decades, and grouped by experience level. Repeat guests come back season after season, which says more about a liveaboard operator than any brochure can.
