About Khao Lak Scuba Adventures
Khao Lak Scuba Adventures has operated from Khuk Khak since 2003 and runs the Manta Queen fleet, a family of liveaboard boats purpose-built for Similan Islands diving. Owning its boats outright sets the company apart from the many agencies in town that resell cabins on shared vessels.
Manta Queen liveaboards depart on overlapping schedules through the season, with itineraries from three to five nights covering the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, and Richelieu Rock. Day trips and dive courses round out the program, from first-time try dives to professional-level training, with equipment rental included in most packages. Snorkelers can join selected departures as non-diving passengers.
Running its own fleet gives the shop real scheduling depth. If one departure is full there is usually another boat leaving within a day or two, and standards stay consistent because every crew works to the same playbook. The beachside office in Khuk Khak handles bookings, gear fitting, and transfers to the pier at Thap Lamu.
