About Temple Basin

Temple Basin is a club ski area at the top of Arthur's Pass. The car park is on State Highway 73 and there is no road to the field. The walk up takes 40 to 60 minutes and gains 400 m, and a free goods lift carries bags.

Three rope tows serve the field (Cassidy, Temple and Downhill), with night skiing on Temple Tow. It has catered lodges and a bar and hosts NZ Snow Safety Institute courses.

The field rents a selection of boots, skis, snowboards and poles, and asks renters to get in touch ahead of time. Bunks and passes book online.
