About The Surf Experience
The Surf Experience is Lagos's original surf school, established in 1992 as the first of its kind in the western Algarve. Located in the heart of Lagos's old town on Rua dos Ferreiros, they combine professional surf instruction with surf camp accommodation, offering a complete immersion into the Algarve surf lifestyle.
They run daily surf lessons at the best breaks between Lagos and Sagres, adapting each session to the day's swell and wind conditions. Lesson formats range from single group sessions for beginners to week-long surf camps that include accommodation in their centrally located surf house, daily coaching, video analysis, and yoga sessions. Board and wetsuit rental is available for experienced surfers who just need gear. Their instructors hold ISA and Portuguese Surf Federation certifications.
