About Apnea Total
Apnea Total is a freediving school headquartered on Sairee Beach, Koh Tao, and is the home of the Apnea Total Education System, its own globally recognised freediving teaching standard. The main centre sits right on the island's busiest beach, giving students quick access to the deep, calm water that makes Koh Tao ideal for learning to freedive.
The school offers courses for every level, from first-time beginners through advanced and master freediver up to instructor and instructor trainer certifications. All equipment is provided, including long fins, masks, snorkels and wetsuits, and training combines pool or confined sessions, breath-hold theory and open-water depth dives in small supervised groups.
Apnea Total's differentiator is that it is a teaching agency in its own right, not just a school following someone else's curriculum. As the headquarters of its education system it trains instructors who go on to teach worldwide, giving students confidence that they are learning from the people who write the standards.
