About Caldera Diving
Caldera Diving is a specialist PADI dive centre located just steps from Perivolos Beach on Santorini's southern coast. Run by a small team of professional instructors, the centre focuses on personalised diving experiences rather than large group tours, making it a top choice for divers who value individual attention and safety.
The dive menu covers everything from introductory Try Scuba sessions for first-timers to advanced PADI certification courses and multi-dive safari packages exploring Santorini's volcanic underwater landscape. Signature sites include the Caldera Wall, where sheer volcanic cliffs drop into deep blue water, and the wreck of the Santa Maria, encrusted with marine life. All equipment — BCD, regulator, wetsuit, and mask — is provided and well maintained.
What makes Caldera Diving stand out is the volcanic geology of their dive sites. The submerged caldera rim creates dramatic walls, caverns, and lava formations unlike anything in the wider Mediterranean. The team keeps group sizes to a maximum of four divers per instructor, ensuring a safe, unhurried experience even for complete beginners.
