Day tours pick guests up from St. John's hotels and B&Bs and head out to places such as Cape Spear, the Irish Loop and Conception Bay. One popular option is a four-hour Bird Island tour that runs daily from May to September and pairs the drive to Bay Bulls with a boat trip to the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve, where puffins, murres and kittiwakes nest by the thousands and whales are often seen. For longer trips, the company runs multi-day tours of five to 13 days that cover the Avalon Peninsula, eastern Newfoundland and Gros Morne National Park.
