About Thai Ocean Academy Koh Chang
Thai Ocean Academy is a RAID dive training school with three branches: Bangkok on Sukhumvit, Pattaya at Balihai Pier, and Koh Chang in Bang Bao. The Koh Chang branch puts the academy's classroom-to-ocean program on the island's south coast, a short boat ride from the archipelago's best sites.
Training follows the RAID system from Open Water through Advanced, Rescue, and Divemaster, and continues into technical territory with Nitrox and decompression courses that most island shops do not teach. Dive trips visit Koh Rang National Marine Park and the reefs around Koh Chang, with free transportation between island hotels and the boat, and the Bangkok base runs weekend trips and liveaboards to dive spots across Thailand.
The academy pitches itself as a community rather than a counter: students who certify in Bangkok keep diving with the same crew on Koh Chang weekends, and the multi-branch setup means city-based divers can split theory sessions at home from ocean dives on the island without repeating coursework.
