About Local Divers Koh Chang
Local Divers is Koh Chang's first Thai locally owned and operated dive center, based at the water's edge in Bang Bao village. It is led by Tea, a Koh Chang native with more than 18 years of professional diving and over 10,000 logged dives in these exact waters, backed by a multicultural team of instructors and divemasters.
The shop is a recognized PADI facility teaching Open Water through Divemaster, along with Emergency First Response, specialty courses, and freediving instruction. Daily excursions run from a spacious two-story dive boat to the HTMS Chang, Thailand's largest shipwreck, and the surrounding coral reefs, with hotel transfers, full equipment, meals, and snacks folded into the trip price.
Local knowledge is the draw. A guide who has logged five figures of dives on the same sites knows where the barracuda school and where the current swings, and courses and guiding come in English, French, German, Dutch, and Thai, which few shops on the island can offer under one roof.
