About The Adventure Club
The Adventure Club has spent more than 25 years diving Koh Phi Phi with an unusual focus: every trip doubles as field ecology. The shop is a PADI Five Star Career Development Center in Tonsai Village, which means it can train divers from their first pool session all the way through the Instructor Development Course.
Alongside standard PADI courses from Discover Scuba to Divemaster, the club teaches specialties you rarely find elsewhere, including coral reef marine ecology, shark ecology, turtle ecology, and sea slug identification. Boats visit the King Cruiser wreck, the Kled Gaeow wreck, Bida Bonanza, and Phi Phi Leh, and dedicated Shark Watch trips go looking for the blacktip reef sharks that patrol the shallows.
The conservation work is hands-on rather than symbolic. The club runs an artificial reef project at Phi Phi Leh, maintains a coral nursery, manages transplant sites at Viking and Laem Tong, and keeps an ecological monitoring program running through the seasons. Divers who join a course here come away logging survey data, not just dive times, which is exactly why marine biology students and returning eco-minded travelers book this shop first.
