About Lake of Bays Marina
Lake of Bays Marina serves boaters on one of the largest lakes in the Huntsville area, with a service and storage yard on Port Cunnington Road in Dwight and a rentals and watersports base on Main Street in Dorset, at the east end of the lake.
In summer the rental fleet includes ski and surf boats, bowriders, pontoons, fishing boats and personal watercraft, and the marina runs watersports lessons and clinics along with private lake tours. In winter it switches to snowmobiles, renting a fleet of 16 Ski-Doo sleds by the day or the week from Dorset. Sled rentals include DOT-approved helmets, riding gear, an OFSC trail pass, a trail map and a full tank of fuel, with direct access to Lake of Bays trails that connect toward Huntsville, Baysville, Algonquin and the Haliburton Highlands.
Having boats, watersports coaching and sleds under one roof makes this a year-round option for cottagers and visitors on Lake of Bays. The Dwight location also handles winterizing, storage, mechanical repairs and seasonal dock slips in Haystack Bay, so the same team can look after a renter who later buys a boat.
