FrameWork Cycle & Fitness is a full-service bike shop on George Street in downtown Sydney, the largest community on Cape Breton Island. The shop has served local riders for close to two decades and rents bikes year-round.
The rental fleet covers carbon road bikes, touring and hybrid bikes, and several e-bikes, available by the day or by the week. One-day e-bike rentals are handled first come, first served. Riders can add helmets, locks, panniers and car racks, and delivery is available, so a bike can be waiting when a group arrives at its starting point. The shop also sells bikes from brands such as Trek and Giant, stocks parts and clothing, handles repairs, and rents snowshoes in winter.
Having a full repair shop behind the rental counter matters for a ride as long and hilly as the Cabot Trail. FrameWork also backs the local cycling scene through its race team, repair clinics and donations to youth groups.
