About Sailing CBI
Sailing CBI offers private catamaran charters on the Bras d'Or Lake from Baddeck, the village on the Cabot Trail where Alexander Graham Bell spent his summers. The Bras d'Or is a UNESCO biosphere reserve and Canada's largest inland saltwater sea, with sheltered bays that make for steady sailing.
Charters run aboard the Cape Bretoner 1, a luxury catamaran, with a captain on every trip. Options include a two-hour evening sail, four- and six-hour daytime charters, entertainment charters for groups, and a Savour and Sail trip with a chef and catered meal. For longer escapes, overnight charters run from one to six nights, giving guests time to explore the coves and small communities around the lake.
Captain Paul's local knowledge of the lake and its shoreline communities shapes each trip, and the charter format means a group has the whole boat to itself. A stable catamaran deck also makes this an easy choice for families and first-time sailors.
