Q: Do I need a Joomla extension?

No. A Custom module, which comes with Joomla, holds the code. There is nothing to install.

Q: Where do customers pay?

In EquipDash checkout, which opens on your site. Payments go to the payment account you connected in EquipDash, and the booking lands in your EquipDash calendar.

Q: Does it work on phones?

Yes. Customers can book and pay from a phone or tablet, and the Book now button opens your bookings in a pop-up on the page they are reading.

Q: What if Joomla removes the code when I save?

Some Joomla editors remove scripts when you save. Set your editor to None under Users > Manage > your user > Basic Settings while you add the code, then switch it back.

Q: Can I take bookings for rentals and activities?

Yes. One booking page can hold your rentals, activities and store items, or you can show just one of them, a single item, or a collection of items you pick.

Q: Do I have to change Joomla when my prices change?

No. Prices, availability, deposits and closures come from EquipDash, so a change there shows on your site the next time the page loads.

Q: Which EquipDash plans include it?

HOW IT WORKS

Live on Joomla in three steps

No developer needed.

Copy your code

In EquipDash, go to Settings > Booking widget > Embed options.
Pick what to show: Full widget embed (your whole booking page), Single product, a "Book now" button, or a Collection.
Click Copy code.

Paste it into Joomla

In Joomla, go to Content > Site Modules and click New.
Choose Custom.
Switch the editor to Toggle Editor (code view) and paste your code.

Publish

Pick the Position and the Menu Assignment (the pages it shows on), then click Save & Close.

Bookings land in your EquipDash calendar, the same as bookings taken at the counter.

To embed a single item, open it in EquipDash and use its Embed tab.
The booking page uses the colors you pick in EquipDash, so it can match your site.
