WHAT GOES ACROSS

Everything you need to send the right email

Each customer arrives in Mailchimp with their name, email and phone, plus their last booking date and how many times they've booked with you.

  • A tag for each part of your business they've used, like Rentals or Experiences.
  • A tag for every item they booked, so you can email last summer's e-bike renters before the season opens.
  • Change a customer's email in EquipDash and Mailchimp updates the same contact instead of adding a second one.

TWO-WAY SYNC

An unsubscribe counts everywhere

When a customer unsubscribes from one of your Mailchimp emails, EquipDash marks them as not wanting emails. Your own EquipDash campaigns skip them from then on, so nobody who said no hears from you twice.

It works the other way too. A customer who opts out in EquipDash is unsubscribed in Mailchimp, and if you delete a customer, they're removed from your audience.

YOU CHOOSE WHO GOES

Only the customers who said yes, unless you say otherwise

By default, only customers who ticked yes to emails are sent to Mailchimp. Switch to Everyone who books and the rest go in as contacts Mailchimp won't send marketing to, so you can see every customer in one place and still only email the ones who agreed.

Got more than one audience? Pick which one your customers go into. Turn tagging off if you'd rather tag by hand.

GETTING STARTED

Connect Mailchimp in under a minute

There's no API key to copy and no list to import. You sign in to Mailchimp and EquipDash does the rest.

1

Press Connect Mailchimp

It's in Settings, under API & Integrations.

2

Sign in and press Allow

Use your usual Mailchimp login. If your account has one audience, it's picked for you.

3

Watch your customers arrive

Everyone who already said yes to emails is sent across in the background, tagged, and the page counts them as they go.

Ask Dash when Mailchimp last synced, or tell it to sync now, without opening Settings.
