Q: Is there an EquipDash app for Shopify?

No, and you do not need one. You paste the EquipDash code into a Custom Liquid section in your theme, so there is nothing to install and no app fee.

Q: Where do customers pay?

In EquipDash checkout, which opens on your store. You do not need to create Shopify products or change your Shopify checkout. Payments go to the payment account you connected in EquipDash.

Q: Does it work on phones?

Yes. Customers can book and pay from a phone or tablet, and the Book now button opens your bookings in a pop-up on the page they are reading.

Q: Which Shopify plan do I need?

Any plan that lets you edit your theme. Custom Liquid sections are part of the theme editor in Online Store 2.0 themes.

Q: Can I take bookings for rentals and activities?

Yes. One booking page can hold your rentals, activities and store items, or you can show just one of them, a single item, or a collection of items you pick.

Q: Do I have to change Shopify when my prices change?

No. Prices, availability, deposits and closures come from EquipDash, so a change there shows on your store the next time the page loads.

Q: Can Shopify be used for rentals?

Yes. Shopify sells products, while EquipDash handles what rentals need: dates, live availability, deposits and waivers. Put the EquipDash booking page on your store and customers pick dates and book from there.

Q: Which EquipDash plans include it?

HOW IT WORKS

Live on Shopify in three steps

No developer needed.

Copy your code

In EquipDash, go to Settings > Booking widget > Embed options.
Pick what to show: Full widget embed (your whole booking page), Single product, a "Book now" button, or a Collection.
Click Copy code.

Paste it into Shopify

In Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize.
Open the page you want bookings on from the menu at the top.
Click Add section and pick Custom Liquid.
Paste your code into the Liquid code box.

Publish

Click Save. Your booking page is live on your store.

Bookings land in your EquipDash calendar, the same as bookings taken at the counter.

Give your menu a Book page with everything on it, or put one item's calendar right under its description. Each choice has its own code, and you can use several on one store.

To embed a single item, open it in EquipDash and use its Embed tab.
The booking page uses the colors you pick in EquipDash, so it can match your store.

The button sits in the corner of every page and opens your bookings in a pop-up, so customers can book from your home page or your blog.

Copy the "Book now" button code instead.
In Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes, click ... next to Customize and pick Edit code.
Open layout > theme.liquid, paste the code just before </body> and click Save.
